The federal government issued the first batch of permits to move 34 whales at marineland to aquariums in the United States and Spain. It's being called an extraordinarily complex undertaking. OPP investigating after human remains were found just outside of Barry. Police were called to a home in Thornton just before 11.30 yesterday morning. They say human remains were found on the property and suggest there was an isolated incident. Anybody with information is asked to contact police. and some fans attending FIFA World Cup matches in Canada, the US and Mexico will have to leave some items at home. There's a list of banned items, including the popular plastic horn Vuvuzela. Other items include whistles, musical instruments larger than 12 centimeters, drones and reusable water bottles are also prohibited. FIFA noted fans are also not allowed to reveal intimate body parts and issued a notice saying body tattoos and body paint do not constitute as clothing. Ticket holders who fail to comply will have their tickets revoked. The tournament kicks off a week from today. Canada takes on Bosnia-Herzegovina next Friday. Hot country sports, the Knicks winning streak lives on, and they struck first in the NBA finals, erasing a 14-point deficit to beat San Antonio 105-95 in game one. The Knicks won 12 consecutive playoff games, the 7th team to do so in NBA history. In the WNBA, the Toronto Temple lost to New York 97-82. Baseball yesterday, the Jays lost to Atlanta 7-3. That Rd. series wraps up tonight with one more game in 7-15. NHL Stanley Cup final resumes tonight. Vegas is in Carolina at 8 with a 1-0 series lead. And the CFL kicks off today.
