Well, with the sky-high cost of health care, some doctors seem to be making things worse. The Auditor General has uncovered alleged cases of Ontario doctors billing for more hours than there are in a day. According to an analysis of claims over the last three years, at least 59 doctors billed OHIP for more than 24 hours of service in a day. The auditor also found a lot of PPE waste. Ontario has apparently written off $1.4 billion in personal protective equipment since 2021. Despite vast amounts of PPE, only 2% going to hospitals. What's more disturbing, the government continues to buy it at the same levels during the height of the pandemic despite significant decrease in demand. A York police officer has been charged with dangerous driving after an incident that happened at Innisfil's Santa Claus parade late November. According to South Simcoe police, they were called about a driving complaint. They say a gray Audi SUV was denied access to the parade route, so they jumped the curb and drove through a pedestrian catwalk to leave the area. On Tuesday, a South Simcoe spokesperson said a 53-year-old Innisfil woman has been identified as a York Region police constable. An Ontario student standardized test results are set to be made public today. Results from the EQAO are normally released earlier in the fall, but the education minister delayed the release, saying he wants to take a deep dive into the results, suggesting some changes could be on the way.
